Non-Hazardous Waste Designation

We’ve eliminated oil and chemicals in production, achieving non-hazardous waste generator status with Santa Barbara County. Boone continues to run a full-service production floor. We just don’t smell like a printing company!

Sustainable Materials

All house-coated stock now contains a minimum of 10% recycled content.
We continuously explore higher recycled content as availability improves post-COVID.

Energy Efficiency

Lighting: Production areas and offices are fully transitioning from fluorescent lighting to energy-saving LED lighting.
Equipment: Machine upgrades have reduced power consumption by over 50% and waste heat by 80%.

EV Fleet & Charging Stations

Reduced Single-Use Plastics

Business card boxes have shifted from plastic to recycled board.
Shrink-wrap alternatives: Paper banding is now used for bundling materials.
Bubble wrap alternatives: Kraft-paper crumpling replaces bubble wrap in packaging.

Maximized Recycling

Boone maintains a 6:1 recycling ratio and partners with vendors to identify new opportunities for converting waste into recycling.
